THUYA
Tetraclinis articulata, is native to north-western Africa in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia.
It grows at low altitudes in the hot Mediterranean climate.
It is a small, slow-growing tree, 6–15 m tall and 0.5 m trunk diameter, with two or more trunks from the base.
The wood from burrs at the base of the trunk are sought after for their use in decorative woodwork.
